Funny how the Reds refused to do a deal with the Cubs on the likes of Griffey, Dunn and Kearns when Chicago needed to add an outfield bat. But the front office in Chicago bend over backwards to do the Reds a massive favor in selecting such a talent in the Rule V draft.

Typical bullshit move from the Cubs front office. Wouldn't you rather have a Josh Hamilton in CF or RF than a Milton 'clubhouse wrecker' Bradley or a light hitting Kosuke Fukudome?

Oh well, you've got to love the Gorzelanny and Grabow trade. I guess they never heard of Matt Capps.

Cubbies fans really whine a lot. I see why you never win the big one.

A guy that had a .975 fielding percentage, tied for the highest third baseman in Cubs history, and batted .279 was good production during that time.

If you have no pitching, no hitting and non-baseball, all business management you don't win. That's the Cubs.

I remember him well, it seemed like I was always watching the Cubs on TV in those days. Dascenzo was an OK player as long as you kept him in the proper role. He was a slick outfielder who couldn't hit a lick, a perfect defensive replacement type for a team with a butcher in the outfield. But the Cubs asked him to be a regular, and that was too much for him.

And, of course, he is the greatest relief pitcher in Cubs history, with a perfect career ERA of 0.00. ;-)

Ripping on Darren Lewis the way you did was in bad taste and an unclassy move. True, Darren Lewis was not a premier name in the game of baseball however, Darren Lewis did set the major league record for most innings played without an error. Darren Lewis may never get into the hall-of-fame but his glove is. You may not like Darren Lewis for whatever reason but everyone I know that has ever met Darren Lewis, including Willie Mcgee, and several baseball players from Little League through highschool, college, the farm systems and the Majors and even myself find him to be a class act of a man and a fine baseball player. Your blog ripping on Darren Lewis shows you do not know the man nor have you any concept of how to play baseball. You seem to be a disgruntled fan with somekind of psychological disorder. Your complaint of Darren Lewis was childish and diotic to say the least. The truth is, Darren Lewis is 100 times the ball player you are and just because he didnt stand up to the likes of some of the games greatest is no reason to speak negatively of him. Darren Lewis played Major League Baseball for several teams, Where did you play? Your blog on Darren Lewis leads me to think you didnt even graduate highschool let alone play highschool baseball.
